Drudge live-streams ‘Sequester Soul Show’ as celebs descend on W.H.

Breaking news: tonight at the White House’s celebration of Memphis soul, actress Jessica Biel hugged President Barack Obama — possibly three times. We can’t confirm, because we weren’t invited, most likely due to sequestration cuts. Others were on hand, though, to experience the glamour in our stead.

Word from White House that Jessica Biel is wearing strapless white dress in East Room… it's a stunning spring night for this event in DC!

Not in attendance: Al Green, who sent his regrets and almost certainly spoiled plans for some sort of duet with the president.

WH says singer Al Green has a back injury and can't take part in tonight's WH concert tribute to Memphis Soul.

Mrs Obama today kidded the president, saying he thinks he sounds like Al Green, "Let’s just tell him he does, okay?" she said.

Obama: "Tonight, I am speaking not just as a President, but as one of America’s best-known Al Green impersonators."

The White House streamed the event live for those who couldn’t attend, and Matt Drudge was kind enough to add the stream to the top of the Drudge Report.

Matt @Drudge is the master for streaming this "Let 'em eat cake" White House party. Is this the first embedded video in Drudge history?

Do we have to spell out how wildly inappropriate the #SequesterSoul concert is?

Cyndi Lauper sings "Try a Little Tenderness" at #sequestersoul. Obama claps tonight. Tomorrow, it's back to using olive branch as hammer.

And #sequestersoul concert ends with "I'm gonna wait 'til the midnight hour" — perfect theme song for procrastinating Dems.
